Career Profile Col Rajeev Kapoor, an alumnus of IMA, Dehradun was commissioned into the JAK RIF in Dec 1994. He has served in Counter Insurgency Operations in J&K (twice) and Manipur. Has had a stint with Rashtriya Rifles and has served a tenure in High Altitude Area. He has a distinction of being actively involved in Op Vijay. The officer has done various courses including The Staff College, Senior Command and Higher Defence Management Course. In staff, the officer has been GSO-1 of an Infantry Brigade under RAPID Division, as also, ADC to Governor. He has commanded his Battalion along the LoC in J&K, in the ever active Sect of Uri.
