Rahul Chutani

About the Researcher :

An alumnus of St Xavier’s School, Delhi, the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla, Pune and the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Rahul Chutani was commissioned in the Maratha Light Infantry in December 1989. He subsequently changed over to the Parachute Regiment. In a military career of over two decades, he has served at multiple locations astride the borders of our nation including command of a parachute battalion in active operations. He has been an instructor at The Indian Military Academy, Dehradun and has done the Technical Staff Officer’s Course from the Institute of Armament Technology, Pune. He was awarded with GOC-in-C ARTRAC Commendation Card for his contributions to the development of Simulators for the Indian Army. He took premature release as a Colonel from the Army in 2010, after 21 years of service.

He holds a Certificate Course in General Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and is a Post Graduation Diploma holder in Business Administration (with specialization in HR) and as also in Computer Applications.

His Research is focused on "Gilgit Baltistan: The Emerging Epicentre of the Great Game"
